From scanner traffic reports of trees down.. one into a house NO INJURY.. Walton County NE of Social Circle.. Was in track of couplet. And now a tornado warning SW of Athens.
So, what's the surprise or the disdain?Just like it always is here with summer storms
And here comes round 2. When it rains it pours
Do you think a nader touched down between Graycourt and FI? Looked beastly on Super-Res Velocity!Tornado radar indicated, getting a little to close to me now!
I think so, the couplet was strong!Do you think a nader touched down between Graycourt and FI? Looked beastly on Super-Res Velocity!
2.60” yesterday, light drizzle now.
Temps not bad at all, no 90’s! Yesterday we never made it to 70.Thanks for reporting up there, the radar was steadily full up that way yesterday. How have you temps been this summer so far?
I hope so too. The sun is supposed to come out by Saturday but I'm hoping it does tomorrow as well. Mowing wet grass is no fun lol.Benn raining since I woke up today. Hopefully the rain will leave us starting this weekend.
And come winter it will be dry as a bone!ITS A BIG WET! Atlanta is now considered tropical climate!
Looks like Cedartown and Athens will be the big winners from this Event. Both areas just keep getting crushed the past few days.Well on my way to a lot of rain today. Already nearly 3/4" and only just past noon with more developing. Been pouring for hours.
Not trying to argue with you Brick but, while there are certainly pockets of little to no rain this map is not typical of summers around here. There is fairly widespread 2" plus amounts across the stateNo storms or rain for me today, and doesn't look like there will be any tonight. I know the mets have to cover their bases, but this talk of widespread storms and rain last week and this week have really busted. It has been very scattered and isolated, just like it always is here with summer storms.
But not 3 to 6 widespread amounts like the models showed. And I might not get a drop of rain today with a 90% chance in the forecast. Just seems there has been all this talk of rain and it has not been very widespread for the whole state like it has been forecasted. Not trying to argue with you Brick but, while there are certainly pockets of little to no rain this map is not typical of summers around here. If you go back 14 days the 3-6" is fairly wide spread across the state.... again I'm not arguing with you but then again maybe I am lol, but to say it has been "scattered and isolated, just like it always is here with summer storms" just isn't completely accurate. But not 3 to 6 widespread amounts like the models showed. And I might not get a drop of rain today with a 90% chance in the forecast. I sense sarcasm....Definitely not a normal summer pattern with only widely scattered afternoon/evening storms.

I sense sarcasm....
Last 14 days (basically last 2 weeks of July), if this is normal for the SE I apologize and will come out from under my rock

I was agreeing with you not be sarcastic.

One really has to love the pervasive lack of ego here; at least this reader from afar does ... keep up the good work, folks ...I just reread your comment... I stand corrected and my apologies.
I can't even come up with a good excuse, I just blew that one Lol
