Pattern August Rush 2020

GFS and GEFS (yeah yeah i know) have at least a hint of a cooldown in the 8-10 day range. And by cooldown I mean low to mid 80s outside the elevated areas.

Grasping at straws. I hate how hot it is

Apparently that was the worst Midwestern derecho in over a decade. Hope Mack ( @Tarheel1 ) and his property are ok! Has he reported in yet? I heard a rumor he may have slept through it somehow.
Yep, the highest recorded wind gust ( non tornado) was recorded yesterday in Iowa, 112 MPH, old record was 109 in 2009 or there abouts! Was a non event here

What's with the circular Severe warnings lately? Seen two in Alabama today.

Been wondering the same thing after being under a couple of circular warnings in GA. The only explanation I’ve found is from a few years ago on Twitter where they issued a circular warning for outflow winds in nearly stationary storms.

That’s nothing with the storms I’ve been through in Wilkes

Why not update location to reflect the homestead bro? NW NC is west Jefferson from my view. A measure of maturity is getting out of the IMBY mindset, it’s hard, I know, but it it will pay dividends with respect which is currently lagging.

pretty much stopped looking at the forecast here, lol, August is by far the worst month here unless we get something tropical

Hang in there a few more days. It looks like low to mid 90s return by Monday.

Latest GSP loop, pop up storms are largely stationary but seem to actually be drifting west a touch

These weather people up here! ???
I miss Chris Justus, and especially, Nicole Papay!??

Looks like Charlotte may miss out on the action today, which is somewhat ironic considering today’s storm changes were supposed to be better. I guess we shall see.

Skies heal and will hold longer instability to pop there could see a very very bad storm later down road near Charlotte maybe with a cold front

Flooding and bad storms over the earthquake region of Sparta and Wilkes..wouldn’t be surprised if another one is triggered today

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't rain here again until Halloween, 2007 level drought. Is that how I do this

You're getting close. The correct sequence is:

1. Make a slew complaining posts.
2. Then move on to wild, outlandish predictions, such as it won't rain until X date or this will be the worst drought since X historic drought.
3. Receive lots of rain.
4. Post all of your rain obs.
5. Never admit you were completely wrong, yet again.

That's how to do it properly.
