414PM Heads up, Durham and Orange Counties damaging in excess of 70MPH coming.

The National Weather Service says This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm is producing
widespread wind damage across Alamance and Orange Counties. SEEK
SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southern Granville County in central North Carolina...
Northern Wake County in central North Carolina...
Durham County in central North Carolina...
West central Franklin County in central North Carolina...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 420 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Durham,
moving east at 50 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR SOUTHERN DURHAM AND NORTHERN
WAKE COUNTIES.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Creedmoor, Wake Forest, Butner, Franklinton,
RDU International, Morrisville and Rolesville.
