It’s been a tendency to get these -NAOs during April, and cold MJO phases, idk why anymore lol

Montgomery Ala had .8 inches of snow back in April '87. Birmingham, 5 inches same storm.

More seriously, if we're going to start out April relatively colder than normal, if we do go from bad to worse from the Coronavirus that's exactly what's not needed. I don't want it to be hot, but I would love to have consistent 70s and I've seen some CAD like days as possible. Blah...
Calm. Reality on the ground is much better than predicted by viral models. Viral models have failed. Models showed their hyper-over-activity. This will be over whether cold April or warm April.
GFS making some small changes late next week. Some things don’t change. Luckily in this case I like this.
please let this be a trend 
If we’re going to be honest it’s been a trend the whole winter. Don’t see why this won’t be different. At least we want this trend now.

Not sure I’ve ever seen the grass so green while the trees are still brown lol. 6-10 inches of rainfall above normal I guess is to blame.
Trees are just now leafing out but the grass has been cut 2 times already!

I wonder if we'll have another random flizzard for the GSO/CLT area where RDU gets cold rain this April. Probably not though since the window seems to be closing for anything frozen.

You do realize what that is actually doing right? At least it isn't cold rain! However it's more rain.
Even with the trough associated with blocking, gefs has mean high temps in the 60s-70s, getting to a time of the year where cool downs aren’t so cold nomore 
This is actually not that bad from the euro, shallow ridge even with blocking but highs in the 70s, let’s see what happens from there 
Here comes that SE ridge flex on the euro with the trough digging in the WC, I’m starting to question the cold a bit lol
