Misc All Things Religious

Do it for you then because I am exactly where I need to be and have never been happier. Nothing wrong with prayer, I pray when I want to speak and meditate when I need to listen but I'm not in need of it. Like I mentioned before, you are still in the believe stage, I have moved on to the know stage and it's invigorating and enlightening to no longer feel judged, or fearful of something I was never meant to fear . Evilness has tricked you but you will come to understand one day. Hopefully it won't be through trauma which is where spirituallity typically reveals itself and shows us who we really are

Evilness? How is this so? No such thing exists.

It doesn't which is the point. What is the truth? Is yours right and mine wrong? Truth is absolutely subjective and this is EXACTLY why I left the collective group think of religion. My spriritual journey is mine and mine only and I can't even begin to explain the stress, anxiety and weight lifted off my shoulders when I broke free. I no longer have to worry about judgement or living up to expectations other than my own. Spirituality is becoming more and more common among soldiers who have experienced trauma through years of war. It's not something easily explained to people who haven't gone through it or have had to deal with taking another humans life for no reason that makes any sense to a rational person

Then why are we discussing this issue? I am not wrong, you are not wrong. I am not confused, you are not confused. If religion leads to war, it doesn’t matter because everyone is right.

Tell you what. You go kill several dozen people in war and justify to yourself that it was justified because the god you believe in and the book you think is God's word somehow made it ok. You do that and let's have this conversation again. I never said there was no right or wrong within our morals and beliefs. What I said was we all go to the same place so it doesn't matter what religion you follow if you even follow one. I believe in karma and reincarnation and there is the difference. I took the lives of many souls I didn't have a right to take. I have chosen to begin working that karma off in this life by trying to tell people like you that war IS NOT justified. That is just a bunch of BS because it is not justified and those evil, hate filled words in the Bible are not the thoughts of MY creator but you can't seem to understand because you refuse to. That my friend is brainwashed. You have no clue the burden I carry and thanking me for my service and praying for me, while appreciated doesn't change a thing. Let me end by asking you this

Do you think I am destined for hell for taking life?
Do you think I am going to hell for not being a Christian? What I did is not ok. The way I have chosen to deal with it is 100% correct to me because religion only caused me anxiety and depression

I realize I come off as brash in this thread. If it seems like anger it isn't at Christians it's at the religion in general that has been forced upon you. If you research early Christianity you will see exactly what I am talking about. Early Christians were more spiritual (gnostics) and it was the Catholic Church that gave you the dogma you have today. They altered and mistranslated the Bible on purpose and forced Christians to accept it while they brutally murdered the early Christians and gnostics like the knights templar. I wish you folks could see and understand it doesn't have to be this way but you guys are too dug in and the only thing I believe will change you is severe trauma or an awakening

ultimate purpose and meaning in life is to develop a personal relationship with God, understanding His character and will, and living in accordance with that knowledge.
relationship:
"Knowing God" implies a close, intimate relationship, going beyond just intellectual understanding of religious doctrines and involving personal experience and faith.
focus:
It emphasizes that the most important aspect of life is not material possessions, achievements, or worldly pursuits, but rather a spiritual connection with God. At the end of the day it’s about the end game.

I’m trying to figure out what you actually believe because from what I can tell and what you have explained, it seems like a patchwork of different religious structures that can really change by the moment. As I said many times, I hate you suffer for what you did and what they led you to do for whatever right or wrong reasons, but if you feel the need to call us brainwashed, misinterpret scripture and then say you believe jello you can expect debate. We cannot be wrong unless you can stand on a truth that you believe can judge us so. However, since you believe that truth is relative, your truth about killing people, means as much as my truth about killing cockroaches. Even “karma” is an illogical fallacy unless real solid truth exists behind it to give it teeth.

RELIGION VS SPIRITUALITY

Religion is about institutionalised often dogmatic and hierarchical social systems focusing on power, control, politics, money, possessions and other secular concerns.
Spirituality on the other hand is about one’s personal and direct experiences of cosmic, supra-natural, trans-egoic and non-ordinary aspects of reality. Experiences which more often than not, are transformational of one’s consciousness, sense of self/identity and often lead to more selfless and global concerns/behaviors.
This is why Buddhism, Taoism and possibly some sects of Hinduism are more accurately described as spiritual rather than religious practices.

You do what you are told to do within the confines of the dogma forced upon you from birth. You think what you are told to think. You don't even question it. That my friend is fear! That is being brainwashed

Why is your way the only way? The right way? Because that's what you have been forced to believe by your masters and you don't dare to question it. Why is that? Because you live in fear of what you claim is pure love. Sorry but pure love and fear do not coexist

If I had to structure my belief system it is based in hermeticism. I sought to release myself from dogma and forge my own personal path removing any negativity from those beliefs including fear and judgement. I had to ask myself why would I worship and follow any religion that provoked negative teachings. It is never ok to take a life out of anger or indifferences

My way? It’s the lords way. I follow the word of God which will never turn void. I’m never forced to believe what I believe in, and the only master I serve is your creator who’s sitting on the right hand of the father. The Bible says all you have to do is believe and call upon his name and ye shall be saved. Hope you have a good sir.
