Good news is that I don’t see a real signifigant time period where we don’t see some sort of relief in the flow with a front of some tropical moisture connection that gives us rain… still would suspect drought conditions will continue to not be a story for the SE for a while

Sun angle doing down , length of day going down. Amount of evaporation happening in a day is going down. Takes less rain to keep us out of drought , albeit probably not that much less than peak summer just yet.

At least the sun angle is much lower which makes it more tolerable. Plus the days are much shorter so it cools down earlier in the evening.

I respectfully disagree. I can definitely tell the sun is less intense which makes a difference to me.

Forget about fall. Maybe by the week of the 5th we can see this break up a little. I'd be keeping my eyes glued to the tropics over the next 10-14 door is wide open but with the ridge that strong we might just see a parade into south Texas/ northern mexico
