Severe 4/12 - (?) Severe Weather

HRRR went from very little rain tonight on the 12z run to 2+ inches here on the 18z run. Gonna be interesting to see how storms develop back west because this area could use that rain tonight.

In addition how any storm complex tonight plays out could also have a role in tomorrow if a boundary forms from the overnight convection. Always interesting to see these things play out.F6E3886A-DB0E-4A35-8A26-688413E231E4.png

@BufordWX Don't you currently attend OU?

Did you know these guys?
Yes, two of them were in my classes. It was quite a shock to all around here this weekend when we heard the news. They were very active in the community and well known. I worked on a project with one of them just a few months ago.

A long version of the drone video from Andover. Watching the full video it is amazing to watch the structure of this tornado as it throws off vorticies. Amazing to watch. Some of the better views are later in the video.

Not sure if it will matter in the end, but radar does show an outflow boundary being pushed ahead of this line. Short range models also are not handling this line well either. Will be interesting to see how these features evolve.72BB53E3-04AC-4F43-BB6C-D83B2C62D8B2.png

Current temperatures still show the warm front south of I-40. Looks like the outflow boundary from the earlier line of storm is keeping the warm front pinned south for now. Question is gonna be how far north the warm front makes it. Where that is will be where storms fire up.C7B47EE9-0771-4885-9B89-7932CF2C3039.png
