Don't be surprised if it does not break. The warm air sitting at 800-850mb is being advected north by the 70-80knt winds.

Thus the drawback of no daytime heating.

More like they shifted the entire moderate risk area eastward (it's no longer in Western MS, LA and AR).

Earlier it looked like the moderate risk area basically bumped up to I-75 thru Atlanta...the SPC map I just looked at maybe hadn’t updated. Do you recall how far east it went?

It's not just that, this is the wildcard of the event. Very high shear with with warm air aloft and resulting meager low level lapse rates is a high end event buster most of the time in AL and MS. I'm definitely not saying for anyone to let their guard down because if a discrete cell can get up, it could drop a dangerous tornado rapidly as could a cell in the QLCS. That said *so far* it's playing by the book.
