Timing is perfect for the NC foothills and western piedmont. I don’t see any reason why the favored areas wont get a quick 1-3 inches. Thermal profiles are solidly snow and boundary layer is thin.

I mean you got a low pressure splashing up against the mountains.. I’d bet on a warm nose .. but I would also bet u start as snow

I agree. Ik I will see some sleet but NAM is the most aggressive with icing.

Not looking at amounts, we know these maps are way off but that footprint is shifting in the right direction for those of us a little south and east. NW Piedmont looks solid!

One thing I noted is the NAM drops the areas with heaviest snow down to freezing.
