Such a sad sad story.
Such a sad sad story.
Salt n Pepa was all over the radio with ‘Push It’Jan 1988. Debbie Gibson and Tiffany rocked the top 10 charts, and we had a foot of snow with temps in the low-mid 20s.
As Archie Bunker would sing "Those were the days"
And, I feel like crying.
I have imagined this any times myself. I swear one winter in the mid 2000s a cold front had swept through with high winds and hand to God when I got to work at Concord Mills, a slender line of clouds was over the mall... and it was spitting sleet and snow. Didn't last long but always wondered had the winds just perfectly blown over the farthest point to point over LKN and create that cloud???Imagine if somehow the CLT area got snow from Lake Norman lol
I wanna repeat of this Friday.
Seems to always be a week of warm weather in January(65-75') that wakes up tulips and other bulbs. By Feb they are already above ground. The day after New Years looks very nice on the GFS. Near 70 at 7am with dewpoints in the mid 60's and storms on the way.

Unless you like brief COLD snaps, not much to discuss anymore…..that is until the GFS goes off it’s rocker again today!Dang y’all wake up and let’s talk weather. Lol
Lol…. The infallible 384hr panel of the GFS taken literally….better than the Sunday morning comics!Summer start to 2023. Very warm rain with no cold behind with another low to bring even warmer air.

Brief? I'd argue that honestly. This actually has some longevity to it. Normally with our Arctic blast, we all get one day in the 30s and then it's warming back up. Many areas will have at least 3 days for 30s for highs. That is longer than your average Arctic blast in the South.Unless you like brief COLD snaps, not much to discuss anymore…..that is until the GFS goes off it’s rocker again today!
When it predicts warm take it to the bank.Lol…. The infallible 384hr panel of the GFS taken literally….better than the Sunday morning comics!
Agreed, longer than normal for sure, I just meant it’s not here to stay for a week or more like we had been seeing.Brief? I'd argue that honestly. This actually has some longevity to it. The only pattern change i see is one from mild and wet now to warm and wet to start the new year. This has potential but not falling for this again...

Technically, yes.Is Huntsville really in the deep south ?
Don't do it, trust us on this....Technically, yes.
Then I guess you would also consider Greenville, SC in the deep south.Technically, yes.
StopThen I guess you would also consider Greenville, SC in the deep south.
I bet some people in Manitoba consider Winnipeg to be deep south. It's all subjective and in the end doesn't mean a lot. We don't have to argue about itThen I guess you would also consider Greenville, SC in the deep south.
Probably, but hoping for you guys to get a White ChristmasYou can definitely tell there are more NC than TN posters on here.
