This place is going to be jumping soon. The highs and lows are going to be epic. It's going to test some people's patience I'm sure because the Mid Atlantic will probably get hit over and over while we patiently wait our turn. I hope not but seems like big daddy -NAO events always favor them early on instead of the SE.

But always worth it when the SE scores while the MA whiffs! Those are the bestest of times

No it didn’t take that long that year. The NW NC Piedmont and Foothills had a significant snowfall on 12/4/2010 and there were a couple more smaller systems in the climo favored areas and small icing event for the Piedmont around 12/17. Then of course there was a big storm that moved in on Christmas Day and continued for most of the day after. The pattern was very active that December

It was good because I went to the mountains skiing, and it snowed all day and all the way home. It was very disappointing because when I got home to clt, had a couple melty inches. Not quite cold enough. That won't happen this time though right?

I got in on that deform band as the coastal low started cranking up early in the morning on the 26th… I was only in it for a couple hours but it was some of the best rates I’ve ever seen. Of the 6.2” I got from that storm 4.7” fell between 4am and 6am.
