The day after New Years looks very nice on the GFS. Near 70 at 7am with dewpoints in the mid 60's and storms on the way.

This sucks. If it's going to be cold at least have snow, otherwise it's more money for heating and pipe issues. Pretty sure my bamboo won't make it through this cold spell unless I tarp it somehow.

I hope my travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan isn't disrupted next week.
NW, light winds.. colder than a... ___________.. In the lower 20's & High teens..
Partly cloudy, coming outta SouthPort,via Boat,, same conditions over on Carolina Beach..
We got out on the SE side of Bald Head Island, deep into the Marsh, ..
Started Harvesting oysters..
It just started getting real *cloudy*, AND dern it,, FAT credit card size snowflakes, started just,,, Falling, like crazy, along with heavy Sea Fog..
For about 4~5 hours..
By time the Tide changed, Wind(s) shifted to the NE, It just... Stopped.. Sea Fog dissipated, clouds lifted.. and, that was.. that..
Cool as all to experience though.. My (first) experience in a Micro-Climate..
The poor NE and Mid Atlantic peeps, who thought the GFS was right! Love to hear DT thoughts! ?

Snow. Some thunder is also possible. High near 33. Southwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
Tonight
Snow before 1am, then snow showers likely, mainly between 1am and 2am. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 27. West wind 7 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Today
