Ohhh that storm. I got fired like 2 days before when my wife just gave birth 5 weeks prior.
I'd like a redo, but man there's some bad juju's with that storm.

This is an unpopular opinion but I wouldn't mind a little sleet/ZR mixing in with my snow. There's just something kind of exciting about mixed precip.

It's really nice that he's enthusiastic. I've been half expecting him to say, looking like a big storm for the Mid-Atlantic, it will trend NW.
As SD said, stick with the airport forecast where you're at. It's usually good for Raleigh proper.
I'd try not to get too hung up N Wake as it can be a strange cutoff up here, and you'll just end up teasing yourself. It's weird how the totals can ramp up within just a few miles. Same thing happens in Durham/Orange.
