I'm not sure how much money you want to spend but if you want to go the seed route look at Arden 15 you can get it off Amazon or from like Hancock seed, its sod/golf course quality

They literally irradiated common to get these hybrids. They can't even produce viable seeds, has to be sprigged or sodded. Weed.

But I loathe Bermuda, and would happily wipe it's existence off the face of the Earth.

Works well in the SE especially if your yard is full sun.

Yea I don't like it either but not worth replacing entire yard
 
Trump... I hope he's able to help the LA disaster with federal funds, but Lord help us all when he starts talking anything weather... he just said, "Laura came in as a 5, bigger than Katrina, well it was a 5 before it came onshore, then a 4. It had 185 mph winds before it came inland, then 150. I don't think we've ever seen anything like it before." Trump... just get the money to the people. Help our economy. But please, don't comment on weather, and by all means, leave the sharpie in the Oval Office.

I’m no lawn expert, but I know Bermuda really loves heat, and I’d just be concerned that even a slight chill, that could come in October there, would hurt the Bermuda sprouts , as they just can’t get enough growth in? I know freezing temps make it go dormant, just thrown out ideas

Surprisingly, no rain aside from a little bit of a sprinkle when we started around 10:30 AM. It was raining in Durham when I left, too. There was what looked like a pretty nasty line back towards the I-85 corridor when I left, but I guess it must’ve dissipated as it worked eastward. The overcast was nice.

I remember back in 2005 I used to turn on the weather radio and listen to the NHC advisories when I woke up this was before I had a phone to check like now

I remember jumping out of bed when I heard Katrina was 175 mph that day

Also vividly remember the track shifting from Panama City to Biloxi in one advisory

On a road trip from Alabama to Texas in 2013 before I ever moved here my weather friend and I drove through the Mississippi coast and you could still see empty slabs where houses had been all that focus on New Orleans but they were the ones with an almost 30 foot surge

Hey Doc,
Could that be sciatica?

It just so happens that the right side of my upper right thigh (i.e., outer) was very painful this morning while still in bed. I had walked for exercise for the first time in a month after previously having
had bottom of right foot pain for several weeks. That was the longest I had gone between walks in many years. For 25+ years, I’ve done walks on average every other day except in unusual situations like getting sick. I had decided to wait it out til the foot pain went away before trying to do a walk again. Finally, the foot pain went away. So, yesterday evening, I decided to walk on my treadmill at less than full speed and flatter than my normal slope/not as long as normal. It went well, but as I said my upper right outer thigh (below the hip) started hurting badly this morning. It hurts mainly on movement. Could this be sciatica? I do have a history of lower back pain that comes and goes but that isn’t normally that bad. And actually, my back isn’t hurting at all.

PS Which is better for outer thigh pain, Tylenol or NSAIDs?
Ice vs heat? Any opinions?

Not a Doc but sciatica is a good possibility. Especially if you have a history of lower back issues. My cramps happen the night after a good tennis workout. I started playing again the last 2 years and the post workout cramps are hell. I take potassium and magnesium after playing and it has helped a good bit.
Advil works pretty well and I've always heard Ice early on and heat the next day or 2 if needed.
 
Was headed to take a shower when the lightening and thunder started. I remembered that you aren’t supposed to shower during a thunderstorm and decided that maybe I made that up, so I googled it. Nope, looks like that actually is on the list of 1001 ways to die. So as I sit here waiting for the thunder to fade out, I wonder, is this something y’all pay attention to? Are you on team shocking shower or team sit it out?

I read a story once in second grade that said never to take a shower during a thunderstorm. I never forget that, I’ve always wondered what would happen if a lighting bolt struck your house during a shower?

I always avoid water during a thunderstorm. I wonder if this also applies when sitting on the toilet? Lol
