Misc 2020 Banter Thread

I went back to work last fall and I chose to work late afternoon / nights as I am not a morning person. I work 3:30pm-12:30 or 1AM some nights. I love being able to sleep in instead of waking to an alarm at 6AM barley able to get out of bed. I’m also a Padres fan so I was able to listen to the games on satellite radio since they are on so late out here. It was very strange having a Winning season after years of utter garbage teams. Really looking forward to a full season next year!

The folks on both extremes are destroying our country in different ways. I absolutely hate the leftward direction of the Dems and much of the even more left biased MSM toward anarchy and even more in the way of identity based politics. But I also hate the very divisive and nasty nature of Trump and many of his supporters toward those not in lock step with them, especially as regards COVID and their very cold nature about it, including trying to make mask wearing something to be ashamed of, which is absolutely disgusting and will never be forgiven.

We're now two nations in one country trying to hold the two together. We need the moderates of both parties to return or new more moderate parties for the sake of a stronger country imo. A more unified country usually means a stronger country.

I used to put out yard signs and put on bumper stickers for those I support. I don't do that any more because politics is too divisive.

I have friends who vote both ways but to me extreme on either side shouldn't be given the spotlight as much. The majority of people don't like wars and fighting one another over politics, religion or anything else. I for one hope we can get over our differences since working together is the only answer to moving forward.
 
Interesting that South Carolina is the only state solidly in Trump's favor along the east coast according to CNN.

You should be excited with that young lineup. They should give the dodgers a run for years.

Yeah it’s awesome but does suck having the mighty dodgers in our division. To be the best you have to beat the best though. I was rooting hard for the Braves to beat the dodgers as I knew that was the only team that could have stopped them from winning it all this year.

Sadly, my mother in law called my wife a few days ago and called her a terrible person and yelled "I thought I raised you better than this, how can you vote for that person". Then I saw an Aunt had written a 2 paragraph post on facebook blasting her sisters, disavowing and disowning herself from them because they voted for the other part.

Its a sad day when politics can turn mothers against daughters and sisters into enemies.
