And to make this process even harder we are closing on our new house the same day we are closing on are current house. The logistics with the moving company packing our house and having to wait 1-3 hrs until we close on our new house. ( builder won’t let us move in early). Paying movers to sit in a parking lot for a few hrs is costly. I need a loan just to pay them.

I had fried catfish the last time I was at Cracker Barrel. Thought it was good. We were just passing through the area and needed a dinner though. Nothing special.

Don't eat there a lot but I've never had problems with it. There was one time I had a Chicken BLT there (ranch instead of mayo I believe). When I was a kid I likely had fried chicken there a lot.

Just curious the status on the artic sea ice since the extreme cold has been bottled up there much of the late fall and early winter.

Extent is currently the eighth lowest on record, which puts it well above the 2010s average at the moment given that the 10 lowest were basically the entirety of the 2010s decade. So, relatively well considering recent history, although still nothing like the pre-2010 years for the most part.

FOLKS, just cause we can’t see winter doesn’t mean to rule out a chilly spring&summer!!!

This isn't acceptable

So, how many of you like to go snow wheeling? Here’s my snowmobile, a 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon with the 6,4 liter Hemi and selectable Lockers in the front and rear axles.

Their pancakes are the best.
Yeah their breakfast is good but if I'm doing breakfast food, local, I'm heading to a long time favorite around here, Oscar's. It's in RR been there forever and best breakfast around

There's a place near here in Garner that is similar, called Angie's.

Working on a new article on how the rapid development of Mooresville is altering the weather in Charlotte. Not good for snow lovers. And better chance of drought.

Wouldn’t it be something if tomorrow was a shocking widespread snow from Boone to Winston-Salem with warning criteria snow? Sorta like the Valentines Day surprise snow event back in the 2000’s.

With all the new new technology, that sort of thing just doesn't happen any more. Now, if they were calling for wide-spread warning criteria snow and ice, we could certainly end up with nothing but a plain cold rain. Those kind of surprises will still happen.

Both of my girls have gone back to college after a long break...... doesn't get any easier seeing them leave
Yeah, my nest is almost empty (still have 1 out of the 4 left at home). It has been hard watching them leave one by one. My father-in-law passed away recently.... It's been a somber Christmas this year.

Sorry to hear, that's tough.... a nice blanket of snow would sure help lift spirits.

folks I know my winter wx and sometimes the weather leading up to events really matter more than what you might think.i don’t find winter events that cause no road issues very exciting.im hoping to find a flip in the pattern that will allow us to dry out and freeze the ground and bust pipes before discussing specific storms.
No freezing pipes I used to be an insurance agent and I had multiple multiple freezing pipe claims one year.. one claim was $300,000.

If you love bittercasting, head over to the January thread. Man oh man.

I swear some of you would weakly imply Webber knows more about weather than me
