Keep that away dude , we have been chilly and cloudy for an unimaginably long stretch, think we are about to break record stretch without a day of 70 as well. May be until April we get 70.

That’s not what everyone else is saying . We were supposed to be buried in snow if it did it’s job . When the heck is this thing going away , record stretch here ! I need to see the sun . There’s got to be an end.

Tough realization for many that a -nao and/or other indicies being favorable isn't slam dunk snow. Also a good representation of how we have to either already have a cold Canada or cross polar flow. Modified cP air masses will give us a chance but it's marginal

Charlotte has gotten screwed over the last decade comparatively speaking.

We need to start measuring our snow in centimeters so we can feel better about the higher numbers. Then again, 0” is 0 cm, too, so I guess it wouldn’t help much.

So any hope we don’t spend the entire first half of March in the 35-45 degree range? A solid 20-30 degrees below normal. This February as mentioned in another thread has a shot at top 20, maybe top 10 coldest thanks to the CAD and suppressed highs .

RDU is -2.6 on the month so far (this departure will only get more negative over the next couple days), and we have received nearly 100% more precip than normal, yet we have zilch to show for it except a light glaze on the higher tree limbs. We suck.

Yes, but so far, this doesn't apply to eastern SE. As GaWx pointed before ,the SE ridge is becoming more and more of a factor every winter to the point where even when the teleconnections are usually good for the eastern SE, the SE ridge still appears anyway. Maybe in some winters, the SE ridge may relax. However, based on the first two years of the 2020s,this decade don't look at all promising for areas east of the Appalachians.

So non stop clouds and cold rain is ok? I don’t even care if we torch I just want the sun and mild weather. I forget we are at 36 north not 50 sometimes !
