If I get lightning shots Monday night, it will totally make up for this and I won’t ----- or complainthis one hurts
I would be very worried if there was not cold air anywhere in the us; basically what the Weather Channel was showing for February. We're just getting weather bad luck; or really we're just experiencing the full affects of a la nina pattern (..app runners) while record cold is in the US.Unfortunately, this is very telling when far SE Texas (almost Brownsville)gets winter weather, but not Central AL and points east. I'm not sure if it's even possible for the eastern SE to get cold/wintry anymore, regardless of teleconnections or ENSO.

I was about to say. I bet it feels nice to be able to watch snow from the comforts of your home.It feels weird to be home for this one ?
I've never seen a real snow at this house I moved closer to work after the only real winter had in 14/15
The fact that areas very far south are getting cold should encourage everyone in the southeast that it can still get cold very far south.
Just gotta be patient. You'll get the cold one day while areas west get left out.Yes, but so far, this doesn't apply to eastern SE. As GaWx pointed before ,the SE ridge is becoming more and more of a factor every winter to the point where even when the teleconnections are usually good for the eastern SE, the SE ridge still appears anyway. Maybe in some winters, the SE ridge may relax. However, based on the first two years of the 2020s,this decade don't look at all promising for areas east of the Appalachians.
I have no patience left , the equivalent positive anomaly on the daily high would mean mid 70s! Not even a light at the end of the tunnel right now . Record CAD year36.3 #heatwave
The storm track (app runners) is the one typical thing we have going. When you get storms traversing to your west, it's really hard to get winter storms.Isn't this LA Nina everything, but the typical LA Nina? The rainfall across our areas have been above average and the cold been pretty marginal(which often doesn't in LA Nina's) until now(where ironically the SE ridge takes over). Not really sure if this just bad luck and thing go back normal next year or year after(when there a major cold snap in the US, it progress to the SE coast)or this is telling us that maybe winter weather fans in eastern SE might screwed for the entire 2020s.
It’s gonna fuggin suck when that thing wavebreaks in the Atlantic, forces another -NAO, gets stuck around SE Canada, then we CAD. Pain
The -nao did it's job lolI have no patience left , the equivalent positive anomaly on the daily high would mean mid 70s! Not even a light at the end of the tunnel right now . Record CAD year
That’s not what everyone else is saying . We were supposed to be buried in snow if it did it’s job . When the heck is this thing going away , record stretch here ! I need to see the sun . There’s got to be an end.The -nao did it's job lol
Look at that trough, it’s just itching to pump heights into the NAO region, It’s just itching to not go poleward but just wavebreak under those building heights View attachment 74888
I’m cutting my testicles off with the rest of the weenies on here and throwing them into a giant pot . We making testicle soup . That’s what this winter has been . Testicle soup .Would have been real nice to see that in mid January
