I personally find it very odd that the icon is showing something. I know that's a horrible model but it rarely shows snow and last time it did snow the icon was one of the first to hint at it.

I think it has started going up in the last few days. I think it’s 25-27 degrees for the highs, 11 rings a bell for lows. The average first day of a below zero low, is mid December!

Models are too inconsistent that far out to know if we torch. In all likelihood it probably doesn’t verify but nothing to indicate winter either.

I’d do a lot of things to see the 0z GFS verify. It’s been 41 years since a snowstorm w/ >8” of snow has occurred in Fayetteville.
