Hated when shortwaves would get stuck around Baja last winter only to eject when the 50/50 was out and give us that 40 and rain or get squashed into oblivionDelta T? Gulf Stream is a natural baroclinic zone, optimistic for increased activity with a semi-dominant northern stream vs zonal flow with junk hanging in the Baja trunk.
Or worse, that same snowstorm gives me 10 inches and you get that half inch and it takes days to melt somehow.Prediction: I will complain about no snow until the middle of Feb., when I will get a half inch. It will melt in an hour and I will spent the remainder of winter complaining.
I’m guessing that for GSP would have been one of the late January or February 2010 storms and for the mountains. The last time I recall any Blizzard warnings being issued for the Piedmont was March 1993 and that was literally as the rain changed to snow in Charlotte
Mt. Mauna Kea at an elevation of 13,803' would be why Hawaii has had blizzard warnings. Seems like a fun place to visit...... once.
Almost certainly blizzard conditions for this one:What are the areas that are in white ? Areas that have never issued a blizzard warning ? I find it hard to believe that Eastern KY has never been under a Blizzard Warning.
