Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

It was funny at first but the Braves are in the beginning stages of a complete disaster of a season. It’s pitiful because all upper management needed to do was acquire some middle relief 15 games into the season but they chose to shìt the bed and here we are..and it’s going to get much worse
 
And so it begins. They started haul-in and clearing operations for the I-75/I-24 interchange rebuild in Chattanooga. In another few months construction will commence. No doubt we crack the top 10 worst bottlenecks in the country for a while. I still can't figure how they they plan to fit 5 lanes in / 6 lanes out from all directions, shift the interchange west towards the Terrace, and somehow keep the Terrace lanes intact. We'll see lol.

I'm pretty certain that either the Braves had lower internal projections, or they reviewed the Dodgers series and punted to 2020 because they felt they would've had to mortgage the entire dang farm system to have a chance. Although people haven't believed me, I've said elsewhere that the offense still has a way to go to be able to match with top tier pitching consistently, and that was another thing that showed glaringly in that series last year and it's clear that it's still not fixed. It's getting closer, but it's still streaky.

Pitching has been an unmitigated disaster so far. I wish if it was true they decided to punt to 2020, that they just didn't bother with Donaldson. Sadly I don't think that spreading the money around would've worked, as if no Donaldson, you'd have probably still seen a good chunk of cash sunk into at least 1 other position player. You would've needed at least 4 relief pitchers and 1 starting pitcher.

lol Well....my list is very different, a lot of these places I've never heard of a day in my life and I put Captain D's and Long John Silvers in the "Disgusting"category just because I hate seafood, haven't eaten it since I was 12 or 13. When I used to eat seafood I remember those places not being that good to me anyway.
