Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Thanks for all of the kind wishes and concern for my well being yesterday everyone, it was definitely a very scary experience and I feel fortunate to have made it out alright.

On an unrelated and lighter note, I have extended my massive winter storm archive for NC all the way to the present but it remains incomplete after 1947. I added the nearly 300 winter storm maps I've had saved on my computer after 1948 in order to help finish a final project for one of my graduate classes this semester.

The archive will end up being roughly double its current size when it's finally complete. Obviously, this means about 1,500 storms or so will be added onto what's already there and a ton of pre-existing storms and winter storm maps will be reanalyzed and/or drawn again

Thanks!!! I definitely appreciate feedback and kind words like this it helps me to keep going, been doing this for 2.5 years and still going strong. It's definitely a project you can't just throw into a program and do half a** &/or spend a little time on. I've honestly sat down at times and done nothing but analyze winter storms for a week and it will usually take a few days straight of doing nothing but this project to get just one entire winter done the "right" way, ensuring that every error in the record is cataloged, changes you made are also accounted for, noted, and backed up w/ reason, etc. It's a lot for sure lol.

I get the feeling we're in that in between period in the Southeast. Severe weather season seems to be slowing down and hurricane season yet to begin. Going to be a boring couple of months.
