Well if the Braves had starting pitchers who could go 7-8 innings every night then having a good bullpen wouldnt be as much of a concern.

Soroka allowed 1 run through 5 and just got yanked. Look for a lot of runs coming up here in the 6th and 7th. I’m actually a big believer in Wes Parsons but he can’t pitch every day..

Soroka just came back from a shoulder deal. He likely is now on the roster for good (knocking on wood) given how strong he looked (even though that was basically his 3rd ST start) which is actually kind of good news as they need to do SOMETHING and try Touki as a multi-inning guy in the pen. They PREFERABLY would not have had to, but their hand was forced since they tried to seek value for some reason and decide that relying on a 36 year old (even if he has a track record), and two sore armed pitchers as 3 of the 4 big pieces of the bullpen was a good idea. FAIL

Long awaited update on something I said a while ago (my mom having breast cancer):
My mom originally was going to have a lumpectomy, but it got changed to a mastectomy after the MRI found another spot. It finally came yesterday. She's home and resting now. Good news is it did not spread deeper.

Speaking of birds, we went to a place called Parrot Island in Pigeon Forge. I got to hold a Macaw, and it bit me on the finger. Then this evening a bird somehow got trapped on my screened-in porch. I think the birds are out to get me.

The Birdman is alive!
Looking for an article or map of a tornado that hit Elkin NC in the late 1930s. Near Valentine’s Day possibly and tore off a roof to the elementary school.
It will be interesting to see if some snow mixes in late tonight. Seeing snow on April 20th would be something else.

Why is it that almost everyone gets off work for Christmas but most people work on Good Friday ? Both are major Christian holidays yet it seems like Good Friday/Easter is not taken as seriously as Christmas.
