Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

A lot has to do with the economy and big corporations. Money is the root of all evil. The people with power don’t want the economy crippled. Raleigh and Charlotte are too big to fail. Usually always about money but there is more into it I can go in later.

AOC is that you?

There was a gas leak explosion in downtown Durham this morning. Leveled a whole building. 1 person confirmed dead, 1 firefighter seriously hurt, and 14 other people injured. The crazy things happening in April has started.

Prediction: the Palm Sunday weekend severe wx outbreak will not meet the most dire expectations. Believe it or not, I'm partially using past posts of @Brick Tamland from other severe wx threats as guidance. With this outbreak appearing to be so dire, the odds imo favor that we will be pleasantly surprised. The worst outbreaks are often not forecasted such as was the case last month and vice versa. I think it has a lot to do with model biases that show up at this point in advance and thus mislead. So, I'm going with some severe wx, including tornadoes....so be on guard…..but nowhere near one of the worst. Let's see what actually happens.
Is anyone else going to make a similar prediction?

I predict no snow @ GSP until Feb 2020! Sad but true

Jimmy, the bass on the beds yet?? I always heard when dogwoods bloom, bass are spawning!? Didn’t know how accurate that is?

I don't know. I am always worried about events like this in April because it is a month notorious for bad stuff happening, especially the 15th-30th. And I think the April 2011 outbreak was forecasted well in advance, too.

After the last bust I won’t be following the storms

Going to the Braves game this Saturday. How many $15 beers does it take to get a decent buzz? Asking for friend

Noticing lots of brown recluses around, I’ve seen at least 20 today on siding of my house, plants, window screens, there’s always one option if there’s a infestation, A NUKE
