Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

The wambulance thread was the best thing that ever happened here, because it basically made this past winter a meme and got us through such a shi**y winter, it deserves the be revived.... and oh yeah, here’s a few things to refresh our memories of this past winter, hopefully all these fails won’t crash the server

They’ll learn to revel in the pain and disappointment. Honestly, after all these years, it’s half of the fun.

Only way I see it working would be if we locked the banter thread while the wambulance is open, but only open it for a short duration where you really want to vent or another way. For example if we see a winter storm possible we could open it and keep it open a bit past the time frame if it happens. Timing would have to be figured out or we would have to have it in a separate part of the forum. If anyone was around for the chatbox we had for a week or so I'm sure you remember the absolute chaos that was. At least the wambulance can be moderated loosely if need be. As fun as it sounds to make a new wambulance thread later on, I'd think it would have to be done a bit differently to keep organization of the board. Maybe make it only viewable to members?
Give the people what they want, I like your idea...

How them weeklies looking? Upper 90’s through December 1?
2 weeks of 100s in August! Remember winter is just the atmosphere balancing itself out, trying to find equilibrium! So May , June, July, well above normal ! August, Sept, Oct, slightly below normal, -NAO!!
November, Dec, Jan, Feb, above normal temps, + NAO, -NAO and below normal temps March, April! Sound familiar?

This weather

But hurricane season will take advantage of all the sky healing. It’s a loaded gun. Something big will alter the pattern. Think Hurricane Sandy big. Just hopefully it won’t take that long in the year.

But honestly after talking to some coworkers, they convinced me to report it to lyft. Which I was thinking about doing but was scared in case something were to happen.

All jokes aside i wouldn't report anything. If dude is crazy enough to pull a gun i would just quietly go about my life

WOW!! Confirmed tornado heading for St Louis western suburbs/airport. Most of my family are in metro STL. Fortunately, they all have basements as it is the Midwest after all and no one appear to be directly in the path of this particular cell.

lol I said that I wasn't really into it for tonight but things blew up. I'm tuckered out, so I'm just going to watch baseball. Y'all have fun if there's more (I pray there isn't though because night tornadoes are SCARY).

I may have a job opportunity in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Should i go for it?

Perfect! I was just posting about you coming back to the SE because of the SER. Notice that ever since you moved to Indiana, the SER has been nonstop. So, please come back to the SE because only you can make SE winters great again. I have been told that SE ski resorts are pooling money to support you for the rest of your life should you decide to return. So, you wouldn’t have to work anymore.

1:30 PM ... 96.2º in the shade on my north facing front porch; 99º at the UF ag reporting station up the road a tad ... sux ...

Mom sent me this, wow, bad night for football fans in the state even the other side I'm sure

UPDATED: Rod Bramblett, the “Voice of the Auburn Tigers,” has died from his injuries and his wife Paula was killed in a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Auburn.

I'm heartbroken about this. I loved hearing him call every game. He was great during the final four run. RIP

Next time it's 33º and just plain old raining, please keep the past few days and the coming next few in mind, as a point of objective comparison ...
Even though I've been out working in this heat the past 2 days and will be tomorrow for awhile, it's still better than the mental strain that 33 and rain puts on you when it's snowing only a mile or 2 north of you.

Of course, a lot of times, especially in your CAD favored location it is not that and instead it is the difference between a cold rain and a (potentially devastating) ZR.
