Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

I guess we can't always be so lucky. We had our second-greatest pre-Christmas snowfall of all time in December in Raleigh and now it looks like we are headed to our first snow-free January since 2012. Not even a flake this month so far.

Hahahaha the people that said 2015 sucked firms up my belief that at times it's every man and woman for themselves on how their weather goes. If it didn't snow in their backyard or where they were, that winter sucked. If I remember correctly, the ultimate pattern we got into in February '15 was actually very similar to 2014's best patterns.

So ultimately, it's up to mother nature either way if whether it's going to bless you or not with winter weather. You could get into a pattern, and it might not even work, and it looks like to me we'll get in a good pattern for a few days soon.

Oh yeah everyone judges winter based off of their back yard. For example so far I’ve seen .5 of snow ice changing to rain while Brick saw nearly 10 inches of powder only a 45 min drive from me.

For him winter has been great.

For me it’s been abysmal watching all my friends get half a foot+.

It will be VERY rare to get the whole board happy with a single storm or even a winter.

Only thing we’re good at in the southeast is getting damaging downbursts/microbursts

No way we can have 5 AN winters in a row. It has to be impossible. Its probably never happened in the earths existence.

Once they recalculate the 30 year averages after 2020 we might have one or two below the new averages.

Since this doesn't really bring anything to the storm thread, me looking at the Euro rn:

Brain: don't say it, don't say it, don't say it
Body: That look is so similar to 2/12/10 it hurts
