Longtime lurker here. Know how it feels to miss out being here in Fayetteville, NC where it gets to 100 degrees no problem in the summer. Last storm was dry slotted for a while and then it was too cold with the low dewpoints. Had 1 inch with 6 inches just to my west and 3 inches or more to the south and east. This storm we're under a storm warning for at least 3 inches. I sit all day watching people get hammered just one county over with 8.5 inches and even 9 at the outer banks. Too warm and we end up with a measly 1/2 inch after dark when the system is leaving. I guess it will even out at some point.

View attachment 3311 Congrats to all that scored with this storm however... I’ll just leave this here. First one crushed south of me this one crushed north and south of me. Carry on.
Nice picture representation of the middle finger for us in the 20/59 corridor. We need ours now, want to be greedy pals with me and @Storm5 ?:D

So the snow melted on my accurite weather station and it recorded .09" of liquid. I had about 1.5" of snow out of that.

Thanks for posting that info. That's consistent with the 15:1 to 16:1 ratios seen at KATL and KAHN.

I’m looking forward for a break for a few weeks then brIng on Frozen February Freeze Fest Finale.
Let's just hope it's not FebruaryFlambé or even worse, FebruaryFlambeau; personally hoping it's FebruaryFreeze, but a lot needs to sorted out and to line up in the next 10 - 14 days before getting a decent bead on it ...

Siberia has had temps colder than Mars and it's cold enough to freeze eyelashes. That's crazy.
Need Larry on this one, but statistically, how often does Siberian cold make a trek to the SE? I can recall maybe 3 occasions over a long span, but can recall more, or so it seems, when the cold just stayed put over there. Not editorializing here, just wondering if Larry (most likely) or someone has any data to this effect.
