I can’t wait for this cold rain event to be over( unless you live in the mountains or NC). I look forward to the next stress test next weekend and prob 5-10 more this winter.
The fact that she even needs convincing says a lot....Trying to convince my wife to go to Asheville Saturday. 1-2ft is a once in a lifetime event.
2 kids and she is pregnant....The fact that she even needs convincing says a lot....
I had hotel reservations in Banner Elk but mine didn’t want to go..Trying to convince my wife to go to Asheville Saturday. 1-2ft is a once in a lifetime event.
You cant take the kids and leave her there? Or go by yourself?2 kids and she is pregnant....
How do you think the roads around the mountains will be? 4x4 is a must I would think which I have.I am still trying to decide whether or not to go to my friends in Huntersville, NC. If I go I will leave in the morning. Obviously, I would rather be closer to the mountains but its free so thats a plus.
Yeah i would be terrified of driving in the mountains with that much snow. I dont have the proper vehicle for driving in that kind of snow. How do you think the roads around the mountains will be? 4x4 is a must I would think which I have.
Yea that’s way I think if I left Saturday morning I could bet the snow but be stuck until it melts. Might be Tuesday for that to happen.Yeah i would be terrified of driving in the mountains with that much snow. I dont have the proper vehicle for driving in that kind of snow.
You said you have some time off so I say go for it. You may not have another opportunity like this for years. If you don't go you may regret it !Yea that’s way I think if I left Saturday morning I could bet the snow but be stuck until it melts. Might be Tuesday for that to happen.
I beg to differ if we take the mountains out of the picture. I feel Tennessee and especially north Tennessee get more snow then North Carolina does. It could just be recency biased though as Tennessee has done well in the winter weather department the last 4 years or so. However I do seem to remember North Carolina scoring a lot of snow the first few years I lived here. I know Tennessee doesn’t have to deal with the ocean moderating the temps like western North Carolina does.definitely the snowiest state for sure
NC is more likely to get big snows than TN i think, even outside the mtns. I guess due to the proximity of the ocean. The same holds true further north. Philly is more likely to get a big snow than areas further west such as Indy, due to proximity to the ocean.I beg to differ if we take the mountains out of the picture. Obviously you aren’t married and probably won’t be for a while with thinking like this. LolYou cant take the kids and leave her there? Or go by yourself?
Yeah I’m talking about consistency more then single storm totals.NC is more likely to get big snows than TN i think, even outside the mtns. I guess due to the proximity of the ocean.
Just imagine if this storm came in Late January with a nice snow pack to our north and west. You would have had 1-2 ft of snow totals from Mississippi east to NC. So looking forward to Winter.
