Ugh, someone just ding dong ditched my house at 4am, likely up to no good and/or scoping out our place to see if anyone is home...

Best way to remedy this, no doorbell! Lazy kids of today won't take the effort to knock hard and loud!Hahahah this is awesome. I mean sorry it happened to you and woke you up. Just reminds me of doing it back in the day

We need to get all of this tropical stuff on a page with the other weather to avoid having to jump around from main page to main page ....
Are we sure that we don't want to merge the discussions? You could use the quick navigation icon at the top of the page, above the thread name to the right of the bar. That should get you to the tropical forum faster than back clicking.
How about a tack? Lol.Or run an electrical current through the door bell

If you can find a way to do it without creating too much clutter, then I would say let's go ahead and do it. If you do, pin the global model discussion. Are we sure that we don't want to merge the discussions?

Bummer - save your phone data, though!Cable just went out at my place, and power is out to most for several miles or so around my place. Initial suspicion is lightning hit a major power station just to my east
Webb,As a disclaimer this is totally a weenie thought and there's likely a lot confirmation bias here and you should not take any of this literally, if anything i'm just trying to have a little fun and Im sure you could find a lot of other random analogies to other seasons at any particular point in time that are even more impressive than these.. After a while, damn I can't help but notice these little very strange, often unusually ironic coincidences that keep popping up between this year and 2003, 2005, & 1933...
First of all we had a tropical cyclone develop in the subtropics in April, just like 2003, even on the same day (Apr 20th)...

The 2nd tropical depression of the season developed east of the Lesser Antilles in the same general area as potential tropical cyclone Two before July (although it hasn't officially happened yet, seems likely at this juncture we'll at least have TD Two before long)

In 1933, a tropical cyclone also developed east of the Antilles in the same general area as potential tropical cyclone TWO, taking the same general projected path and it struck Trinidad as a low end category 1 hurricane.

Then let's say 93L develops and becomes the 3rd named storm of the season and hits Texas, well that also happened in 2003 and Claudette isn't that far off from the ECMWF/EPS solution...

Or better yet, what if 93L takes the GFS route, develops and becomes a minimal hurricane-strong tropical storm and takes aim at the Louisiana coastline as Tropical Storm/Hurricane Cindy. Oh the irony....
