Models have amounts all over the place. Dusting to 1" is probably the best way to go for the north half of NC. Below that, mood flakes possible. More in the NW mountains, SW VA, and back into WV.

18z NAM 3KM shows a rain to frz/sleet and maybe a few snowflakes mixed in at the end over central NC when temps are below freezing early Thursday morning.

My first call for this event includes 2-4" for Raleigh with 1-2" in CLT. I think Greenville, NC is the sweet spot with 3-6" there.

I mean why not? 36hrs before the CLTFooter this past weekend locals said 2-5” or 3-6”.
We know what happened in and around Charlotte.

No reason to assume this one couldn’t do the same… right?

I doubt this means anything because we aren’t expecting anything here but tonight’s forecast low was 36 and we are currently sitting at 30.3 and everything is freezing up again.
