12/2/2024 - Potential Clipper Action!

Made it to work: 40 and 85 are a disaster fyi; Seriously you cant count vehicles involved in accidents. Got 3 separate co workers who have been stuck on interstate for over an hour. Be interested to see accums back in Randolph County. Its borderline an inch at my house , the blades are covered, tree limbs, etc.

I hope he stares at the light all night and never sees a flake while everywhere around him gets 2-4".
Guess it only fitting to get what I wished on another. Looks to me like this event was predominantly driven by the 850 mb frontogenesis and the axis of heaviest snow was a bit north of what was being modeled.

Got shafted here, on to the next. Should’ve trusted the RAP with its north shift
Sucks for sure...on to the next hopefully. I'm trying to figure out which model performed the best. This was a tough scenario of not only getting the precip area correct (which was compact) but noting that there could be some embedded bands. Maybe if you took the center areas of the global model precip shield, then supplemented it with the ideas from the high-res models that there would be hard to predict localized banding

Trump wins the election …. All of a Sudden Gas is like $3 , Bryce Young Looks Competent and it starts to snow again! Coincidence?? I think not …… ducks for cover

3k nam and hrrr really honed in on the heavier banding for sure, just showed it too far south until about 4-5hrs before game time when they started shifting north to match the RAP.

I never saw a flake here in far eastern Union County. Congrats to those who got some ! The drought continues here!

The difference in driving was pretty crazy, my spot in NW concord near the kannapolis border, received around 0.6-0.7 max. Near the actual city of concord, looked like far less but still some white on the cars/a few other surfaces, around 0.2 or so. On my drive to Charlotte, looks like nothing happened especially the city and past that
