This dry hole matches up with a very cold pocket at 925 above us. Wonder if that’s part of the culprit.

Hovering right around 32, down from 33. Starting to see icicles higher up in the trees. It seems to be cooling off a bit with increased precip. Curious if it continues.

Heavy sleet with a couple fat flakes mixing in. We’ve lost the upper levels
I mean it’s not accruing like I would expect freezing rain to do
Under a heavy snow band, finally. Huge, destructive flakes falling!
I am down to 31.2 with a shower of freezing rain falling. it does appear to be accruing in trees and other elevated areas.

Lt snow now and 26/22 with 84% humidity. Accu Weather upped us to 3-6 tonight in addition to the 1+ we already have

Again, the returns moving through Georgia are big boy returns. If I can hold out and get my 0.5" liquid I maybe able to really rack up.
Best precip for the Charlotte area should be in the 5-9pm timeframe as this 850mb warm advection / overrunning bulges thru. The threat for sleet mixing in / changing to sleet will go up roughly midway thru that time period I'd say. Loop here runs from 1pm to 1am

I’m southeast of Dawsonville on the shores of Lake Lanier. Right now- 31 and ZR. we’re getting a lot of snow melt and I don’t think the ZR is piling up efficiently but if it gets any colder… I’d say we’re somewhere between .10 and .25” rn on some surfaces

Got Home short while ago to more snow on Ground than airport. Because it started quicker. That band when it starts is reallly Good. My ride went from white snakes across the road to white slush in spots. Light snow still falling at the house currently. Everything is covering up good. Should get a couple chickenfeather flake bands here this afternoon, before we come close to the sleet line during the heavier stuff tonight. Least thats my hope.fingers crossed we pull off a 100 percent no worsevthan 90/10 mixer

Yeah, we are right on the line. I’m thinking that we will end up with 2.5” of snow plus .5” of sleet. It’s going to be here a while. Probably won’t have school until Wednesday.

Looking at radar, we should have a very heavy band come through around 4:30- 5:30
Light snow and 31.7 in Charlotte suburb of fort mill. Any of you guys have one of these from weather flow ?

35/13 small flakes just started in chapel hill. Feels a lot colder than 35.
Lgt snow 26.8 Looks like the moisture is moving more east faster than it is north so unless it slows and pivots some there's not going to be any high totals around here it's going to be gone...
Holding at 29. Definitely ZR mixing in with the sleet..not ideal
