I am still at 33 at the airportIce is really beginning to build in the tops of trees in my area,,,Still at least 4" on the ground, and roads are a mess.
If it's anything like northern Pickens county, Good luck with that!Looks like some big rates moving in from the west. Still holding strong with snow. Haven’t mixed at all yet. If we can keep this going we should be able to rack up some accumulation
30.2 hereI am still at 33 at the airport
Looking at the current radar, I don't see how anybody in NC is going to get much more than an inch, outside of the mountains.I like what the 19z RAP just spit out. Gives me 4" of snow/sleet:

Can confirm as I am under another band and it's flying fat ones again.Looks like some big rates moving in from the west. Still holding strong with snow. Haven’t mixed at all yet. If we can keep this going we should be able to rack up some accumulation
I'm about halfway through that band and I honestly can't tell any difference so far. About what we've been getting all day. So far the radar looked way more impressive than what has been falling.Looks like some big rates moving in from the west. Still holding strong with snow. Haven’t mixed at all yet. I would check your thermomter. I'm not seeing any reports of 30 right now in Atlanta. Almost every site is reporting 32 or 33.30.2 here
Looking at soundings, I still think what models are depicting as ZR in CLT metro is sleet. Very thin warm nose and 925mb safely below freezingthe Piedmont and CLT crew better hope the warm nose isn’t stout. With in between rates and temps in the upper 20’s ZR can accrete quickly
The band to the SW is bout to do work for us. But yeah, we'll see if we can get enough precip to have a memorable storm out of this.

You're in a great spot for the storm for sure. Good chance you hang on to snow for the whole thing.HRRR and RAP are dropping an additional 0.5" of liquid here. We've shown no signs of mixing. Ripping fatties at the moment. returns look healthy in the western upstate and Georgia. Hopefully we can rack up here.
Looks like it's trying to fill in from the westLooking at the current radar, I don't see how anybody in NC is going to get much more than an inch, outside of the mountains.
snow Deliverance?Sitting on my front porch playing winter wonderland on the banjo trying to manifest this
I did check it, and that is what I have.I would check your thermomter. I'm not seeing any reports of 30 right now in Atlanta. Almost every site is reporting 32 or 33.
Yeah I'm in a good spot where it seems the column is holding out but we are getting some rates as well. Again the radar coming out of Georgia especially looks healthyYou're in a great spot for the storm for sure. Good chance you hang on to snow for the whole thing.
Speak for yourself, it’s snowing more than it has now. Once again, very little sleet mixed in.We can keep wishin' and hoping while looking at radar, but CLT is not going to get any accumulating snow. This is sleet country.
Yep way underperformer for the upstate!I'm about halfway through that band and I honestly can't tell any difference so far. About what we've been getting all day. So far the radar looked way more impressive than what has been falling.
Edit : actually i think its all sleet
I’m getting rain and I’m not even sure it’s freezing rain. Sure doesn’t look like it.Yep way underperformer for the upstate!
Well if you're under 32 it's freezing rainI’m getting rain and I’m not even sure it’s freezing rain. Sure doesn’t look like it.
looking really good as I am right above you around the state line, if we can hold out those returns look to rock. Appreciate all you do on here.Yeah I'm in a good spot where it seems the column is holding out but we are getting some rates as well. Again the radar coming out of Georgia especially looks healthy
