@bouncycorn can you explain what this map means in detail for me i’m just trying to learn? and does this mean a good thing for the southeast
How much is that in inches?
25mm is nearly 1” of qpfHow much is that in inches?
Is it rain? It's rain isn't it? lol. It actually has been leading the way on the s/w coming out of the SW IIRC. Hopefully tonight the EPS follows suite.
View attachment 158811View attachment 158812I have a growing grudge for certain things, and it’s certain globals showing ZR when soundings are clearly evidently supporting IP over ZR when precip maps show ZR. It fools a lot of people and has in past events, hence why it seems like ZR events rather becomes IP dominant
Yeah, this ain’t happening, everything would have to time and the track be perfect for this to happenHOLY... the 18z AIFS just went absolutely insane..

I just don’t see how that’s not snow for most of 85 northView attachment 158811View attachment 158812I have a growing grudge for certain things, and it’s certain globals showing ZR when soundings are clearly evidently supporting IP over ZR when precip maps show ZR. So assuming 10:1 that is at least 10" sweet. Hopefully we all get lucky25mm is nearly 1” of qpf
Love the “burger boom” reference. Miss the OG daysThat's a burger boom to the 10th power with the Euro AI... holy moly. Full phase of the cut off. Leaves no crumbs.
We had 10 inches in evensville tn, I have a picture somewhere with a framing squareA board wide snow would be a wonderful thing. My house in the Chattanooga area is super snow starved. It was disheartening last January sitting at 33° and a rain/snow mix before turning to all rain, while 8 miles to our north as a bird flies was receiving snow amounts from 3"-8". Some local mountains towards Dunlap received a foot of snow while we were blanked. Let's reel this one in.
Definitely bc that’s ab right for Columbia.
Never say suppressed too much if in the Atlanta Area. We toss.
Awfully amped up.
Lord have mercy... Everything going all in. GFS, now euro AI and Graphcast... is this our storm???View attachment 158816View attachment 158817View attachment 158818Latest 12z graph cast (just came in) beautiful miller A winter storm
That's a duration of more than 12 hours in some areas. Hugging this one tightly.View attachment 158816View attachment 158817View attachment 158818Latest 12z graph cast (just came in) beautiful miller A winter storm
Graphcast is just barely cold enough for all snow in my area. AIFS has warm layers that mean sleet, freezing rain and cold rain. I don't want this thing amped up.That's a duration of more than 12 hours in some areas. Hugging this one tightly.
That's going to make up for a lot of dismal years, if it comes to fruition.18z AIFS in WxBlender (only 18z AIFS).. followed by updated full blend. I have sent the access link to those that DM'd me.

Expect the surface temps to be colder due to the snow pack up north. About 3 to 5 degrees colderView attachment 158816View attachment 158817View attachment 158818Latest 12z graph cast (just came in) beautiful miller A winter storm
Not sure if I'm liking these amped up solutions 7 days out though
