You can see the jet streak returns now on radar from north east Georgia to Wilkesboro nc

Already filling in at 2pm.
18z sounding from MHX. Warm nose just as forecast. Hopefully the marginal surface temps save us from a potential bad ice storm. Not seeing much accumulation from the rain we have had so far today. Temps 31-33 depending on the station but a cold northerly wind.
Curious if some of that in the S Piedmont/Sandhills might start hitting the ground. Looks somewhat robust there on radar. Will help to moisten the column in any case, which is good.

HRRR shows bay effect snow showers tomorrow after the storm for coastal VA/NC, would be neat and not out of the question due to strong, cold north wind over relatively warm water
Watching like a hawk other then a few hallucinations nothing yet

Based on the COD, moisture is getting thrown through northern Alabama and on the other side of the apps. I think we are going to over perform. That is a massive west push of moisture that is being picked up enough by radar already.

Yeah that streaking showing up on radar along with the mPING report around Nashville is interesting for sure
