That possibility is getting closer as LA just won keeping them 4 games ahead of ATL.

Dodgers need to get the bye and then I need Phillies to beat Atlanta. For whatever reason, the Braves are the one team that has the Dodgers number and always have
Tbh, with the Dodgers about to start a 3 game series against the Padres (hottest team in MLB right now), and Braves starting 3 game series against the Reds (one of the most sluggish right now), that 4 game lead my vanish quickly

Havenāt followed Dodgers in a long time. Always enjoyed Fernando Valenzuela, Orel Hershiser, and Pedro Guerrero.
Braves really didnāt have anyone other than Dale Murphy at the time I can remember.

The had a low period after Hank and during the Murphy period but then they were dominant in the 1990ās

can't believe nc state lost that game man. it is a slow burning disappointment that has gotten worse with every day

Yes they had the Offensive firepower in the 80's. Even had Chris Chamblis with Murphy, Horner, Claudel Washington. Then it was the lack of firepower of Glen Hubbard along with pitching that caused their woe's

I think the vandy game lingers and State starts out poorly. Probably sleep walk into halftime down or tied but pull out a way too close win at like 31-27. No excuse to not handle this one by 2 or 3 tds but dave is still the coach
I actually would agree with the slow start had State beaten Vandy. Now I think State gets fired up and punishes them by at least 3 scores. Hot take I know.

Hold my beer. Yankees have won numerous AL East Pennants and have secured a playoff spot. Next stop is to kill the rays in BOTH today's doubleheaders, win the series with BOTH the Rays AND O's, and get past my other favorite team, the DODGERS.NL EAST CHAMPS!!

You are referring to division titles when you are speaking of pennants. Traditionally, the pennant goes to the league winner who goes to the World Series. The NY Yankees have won 41 pennants and hold the Major League record. No one is even close in the American League with the Oakland/Philadelphia Athletics in second with 15 pennants. In the National League, the LA/Brooklyn Dodgers lead the way with 26 pennants. Five National League teams have won more than 15 pennants: The San Francisco/ NY Giants have won 23 pennants, the St. Louis Cardinals have 19 pennants, the Boston/Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves have 18 pennants and the Chicago Cubs are the winners of 17 pennants.

Ohh I thought pennants were division winners, just like the panthers were the 2025 NFC south champions and the hurricanes were the 2026 Met Conference Champions.

I think the best unc football could hope for this year is 5-7. Very possible they could be 4-8.
With the tough schedule UNC has coming up, this is a valid assumption for now. They face three ranked teams starting with #3 Notre Dame in two weeks and also play Virginia who was previously ranked. Add their rivals into the mix and UNC may not have much to show that they are a marginally improved football team compared to last year.

I still think 6 wins, but yea one of those would probably need to be an upset.
But forget that, how many wins does Duke get this year? I just looked up your schedule. My guess is 9 but ya'll might be favored for 10 (and UVA is probably a tossup right now). Sheesh.
