I personally didnt buy tickets for the fact our Home slate is pretty mid aside from Auburn, Tech and Vandy. I wasnt paying attention honestly to our schedule until like last week.vs. Tennessee State with a 3pm kickoff. What a home opener
Best thing I've seen the last day or so on the models is the op euro finally eliminating the heat ridge. We are hitting the point where the jet starts to really sink south its only a matter of time

Until this death ridge that will be giving us the miserable weather this week retrogrades or breaks down, we will be in the oven for most of this week. It's a good thing the sun angle is decreasing and the days are getting shorter, otherwise, many of us would probably be seeing multiple 100 degree days coming up. As is, we still might hit the century mark at RDU this week.
Alright, sweat thru this week, then enjoy a little shot of relief. Seems unavoidable to go back to warmth but not to the extent of what is about to occur
Now the Euro doesnt clear the front through some of the area which produces a wetter pattern locally. Really weird look TBH

Warmest September low ever is 82 which we tied yesterday.... I think I've run out of things to say about this pattern

Terrible runs overnight
"Bet the Streak". I'm gonna be harvesting cooked Cabbage right out of the Garden this Fall. Want even have to get to the stove post harvest.

Yeah but be tough to have this kind of sustained heat (Advisory level) come late-Sept/early-Oct due to climo. So we got that going for us.
Yes, I know this is a trash model; especially at this range. But everybody needs something to hope for. So here's the 0z CFS 2m anomaly for October 2nd.

I'm not sure about that. In my recollection September has generally always been a warm month IMBY, but just starting to cool down from August. Late September, yes, you start to see a real temp transition into October (more noticeable at night). But anecdotally, I'd argue the first 2 weeks of September are no different than summer. Looks a bit abnormally hot this year, but not so much that I'm surprised by it.

So wish I lived near the beach. Love it . Had family who lived in Moorhead city , but pretty much all passed on . Miss it
