In a vacuum, it is a pretty hilarious Tweet. By our President, well, it's still funny, but also WTF. We truly live in a world that seems more and more like Idiocracy everyday.

Exactly. We literally went into another country and rescued a pilot that Iran was actively searching for, including offering a monetary reward for the capture if our serviceman. Yet our military/intelligence was able to go behind enemy lines and extract said serviceman.

Did we lose any troops as a result of this mission? Obviously something happened with the helicopters, but I’m not sure how them being destroyed (whether by us or them) is humiliating, when the objective or rescuing the soldier was achieved.

There are certainly criticisms to go around, particularly towards Trump and his handling of this war, but to say that our military has been humiliated by Iran is just false and any logical person knows it.

Humiliating was the withdrawal from Afghanistan, but to post this after the rescue of a pilot makes no sense.

No one is saying the military was humiliated, but as in Viet Nam we will lose the "Peace". The difference being in Iran the majority of the people want us to finish the job while in Nam i dont think the people cared who was running the govt.

So we fought the war for absolutely nothing. Trump is begging for a deal. He is a stain. Its as stupid as Stalin begging Germany for a deal with Russian troops surrounding Berlin. Trump says they keep the oil too. I dont think there has ever been a dumber loon when it comes to war. We are negotiating with ourselves way before Iran makes a jackass out of him

Just the oldest trick in the book of negotiations. He's just throwing an anchor ( a term use in negotiations/ to aim higher or lower than what the real goal is) which is something he's done his whole life in negotiations. You got to take some of what he says with a grain of salt and understand he's just doing his part. Making huge threatening remarks to help get to the goal it's just good old- fashion gaming ship that you'll find all in sports and competitions AKA trash talking.

What is the real goal? If its Opening Hormuz it was open before the bombing so we gained nothing.

If you can figure that out then I reckon the Iran leadership knows it too. Its like the little boy who cried wolf, Trump has made so many dumb threats or said Iran has this or that many hours or days to do any number of things that he literally contradicts things he said earlier in the same day. Iran has the ability to keep the Strait closed this is their ultimate bargaining chip and there is little anyone can easily do to change that.

it's not going to though. This blows up bigtime into a very serious WW3 scenario, of if Trump backs down Iran will have an even more strict regime in place. We are OUT of good options now. The 2nd option "sounds" better but it is not. This would mean Iran would have nukes in about a year and I belive they would use them.

I think you are right. He either ends this with the current regime in place or we have WW3. If he makes good on his threat tomorrow the world will never be the same. I can't see a way this turns out well at this point.

Its not gonna turn out well. He wants a 1.5 trillion dollar military budget and to literally kill every penny that actually helps US citizens.

We lose this no matter what.

I can see how it turns out well. The lights go out, the currency collapses, and all the bank accts of the IRGC become worthless. Then we give them terms of surrender they either accept or they have to leave.

WW3 is already taking place the history books just don't call it that yet. Still waiting on which side will win so they can write it.

It would be nice but it's not going to happen. If Trump does this China and Russia will jump in. I hate it, but Iran is in the driver's seat with this and that regime is going nowhere.

Another thing: Do not be shocked at all if OUR lights go out if Trump does this. We go back to 1860 tech wise here if Iran strikes back directly.

That is why Trump must coordinate a massive strike on the hidden UFO labs underneath Tehran. Unless the Mohammed clone/alien hybrids are destroyed in one bold strike, their telekinesis abilities are likely to turn on our planes on the global chocolate supply and Coffee bean trees, drive Starbucks out of existence and give us all a case of diaper rash.
