it took 7 years of following wx to get my first 6” storm. Gracious
We need a coastal that just rides slowly up the coast and rips, not all this crazy messId eat raw chicken for 30 minutes in one of these bands. I don't even remember what true heavy snow is like. I would guess 2018 is the last time i saw heavy snowView attachment 193042

I can’t get over this thing. It looks like wolf laurel at the start of a nw flow snow outsidethat 4hr long streamer wasn’t going to let you stay under 6
We have an Equinox EV LT FWD. love the darn thing. We'll take it out tomorrow afternoon most likely. It's an Equinox RS with all wheel drive so the curb weight is a hair over 4900lbs. The previous Volkswagen ID4 was FWD and did just fine in our big snow last January.

It took me like a month and a half. That was a bad thing since it messed up my expectations!it took 7 years of following wx to get my first 6” storm. Gracious
I see you ain’t been to Huntsville in a while.Having grown up in Birmingham, seeing anyone above US 278 in Alabama complaining about a lack of winter weather is WILD to me.
That would be epic after waiting all day for the snow to get here.If this verifies I sincerely apologize for my performance today. It's been a while since I was on the big league roster View attachment 193068
Looks like Greg Fishel hit the nail on the head with both timing and totals by focusing on synoptics instead of being wedded to model output. He’s still got it and runs circles around anyone still on broadcast TV in the Triangle market.Funny thing is WRAL will probably still end up busting low here.

Some of us handled it better than others.I had a feeling the meltdown coming from the triangle was premature, but I would have been doing the same thing if I lived there.

Don’t think so. Just people crashed. Imagine everyone is exhausted.Did the site crash?
Just the RDU crew crashed and slowly burned all afternoon. They looked outside tonight and they're finally getting some flakes so they're in semi-recovery mode now. But some may be permanently scarred from the experience.Did the site crash?
Am I allowed to say I'm ready for this to stop now?![]()
Just wait if it's like here it's still around a week later haha
I'm not kidding
Yup, in isolation it’s a pretty damn good storm. It’s just frustrating being in between folks who got so much more and knowing what potential it had to be a truly big dog for us, but such is life, I suppose. Actually ended with 4.5” here, so I had it better than a lot of Wake County did. I hope @KyloG finally got some decent snow.Obviously this didn't turn into the big dog I was hoping for, but this late rally has salvaged it from being December 2000 level bad for Raleigh. We'll probably finish with around 2.5-3".
I had to look it up and even online there wasn't a definitionWhat the heck is a "jebwalk?"
Jeb lives and he knows how to walk on ice.
Pain.
