Misc General Banter Thread

The way it’s been snowing today idk how there isn’t a foot on the ground out here. Zero lull’s. It’s one big death band
Is it possible we'll just have to get a radar estimated precip amount, find the snow ratio and convert it? Its blowing everywhere and hard to get an accurate measurement for a dummy like me! Best guess is about 6 inches here. And man seems like it should be more

I'm giving it two more hours then:

I literally told my son earlier this week this could be the best storm I have left in my life. 🤦‍♂️

Who knows, I might be right. RDU snow is just about done for.

It doesn't snow here anymore. It can snow a foot in Greenville to Hatteras but it doesn't snow here. GSO to Charlotte cranks outs 6" snows like tic tacs...

Just an awesome view...that snowhole has been there for 10 hours and hasn't budged...looks like every inch of SC will get accumulating snow.

Funny how 2018 was almost the exact same but with a bigger foot print to the left. 2 chances at generational storms same result. january_3-4_2018_nc_snowmap (2).png

On the bright side, when we finally score, it'll be so much better with all the years of pain we've had to endure.
RDU will never score in the sense CLT is today. Sure, they’ll get some 3-4” event someday while areas north and east get buried in 2 feet. But there will never come a day they get another January 2000.

Of course, RDU will score in the summer and get to 110. That’s what they do.

Question:

If we had a weaker ULL or not one at all would it be different in Wake county today? If just a coastal would it only be east of here or would it expand west?
