Is it possible we'll just have to get a radar estimated precip amount, find the snow ratio and convert it? Its blowing everywhere and hard to get an accurate measurement for a dummy like me! Best guess is about 6 inches here. And man seems like it should be more

At this rate guidance is still going to be saying we get 6” tomorrow.
On the bright side, when we finally score, it'll be so much better with all the years of pain we've had to endure.

I literally told my son earlier this week this could be the best storm I have left in my life.

It doesn't snow here anymore. It can snow a foot in Greenville to Hatteras but it doesn't snow here. GSO to Charlotte cranks outs 6" snows like tic tacs...
Essentially ended up with a dusting that blew away/sublimated within an hour of falling. Nothing left now. Really wanting an actual snowstorm this year.

I agree and I might sound like a crazed child but this has robbed me of something.
Funny how 2018 was almost the exact same but with a bigger foot print to the left. 2 chances at generational storms same result.

RDU will never score in the sense CLT is today. Sure, they’ll get some 3-4” event someday while areas north and east get buried in 2 feet. But there will never come a day they get another January 2000.
Of course, RDU will score in the summer and get to 110. That’s what they do.
Never in my near 40yrs in the Triangle have I ever experienced something like this. Snow literally a few miles away and continually flirting with my area. Have small light flakes then they stop.

Welp, no snow for us. Oh well.

HRRR suggesting the dry slot fills in from the east, not the west. Thanks for nothing ULL. Relying on upglide from the departing coastal.
