Snow, mainly after 11am. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. Northeast wind 7 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Last time I've seen the "heavy" wording tossed around was probably in 2010. I wasn't here for 2014, but I doubt you saw it then, and you didn't with last year, but there was at least an hour of fairly heavy snow after some weak flakes for hours to push me to 2.5"ish (friend up the road measured almost 3", but I'm estimating based on a finger measurement).
Reason I'm placing this here is that I'm not seeing signs that the early convective stuff will pop over me, and I may be "stamps feet" over that.

0z hrrr is running. I’m ready anxiously waiting to see what the nam 3k does. I don’t think it will have that large of a dryslot and the 18z run had feedback issues. Fingers crossed.

Too many runs of the Triangle getting blanked prior to the coastal getting going. I don’t trust the coastal to produce west of I-95. This could be an all-timer split.
When it shows lots of snow we like it
I would be stunned if the 3km NAM doesn’t come in better for RDU in a few mins.
yeah if we could just slide that mesoscale band just east of ATL another 50 miles due east, that'd be greeaaat

it’s going to suck tomorrow for those of us east of Charlotte having to wait around for hours while they are getting pummeled not knowing if we are going to really cash in or not.
Boy, I am shocked to see Webber, and Wxblue. To go with those numbers for this area.
Few natives in that area these days. Long story short I’d bet money it’s the blizzard warning capital of NC outside of Mt. Mitchell or one of the other 6,000’ mountains. Would not be surprised if they get an inch or 20”. These deep coastal lows can get downright violent out there.

Just got home and that might've been the busiest shift I've ever worked, way busier than thanksgiving or christmas lol.
Everyone west of I-95 is putting their faith in the ULL. They have more body of knowledge than the rest of us but darn if that isn’t a leap of faith.
