People keep saying the Raleigh NWS is using model cycles that are old and behind. You think they don't know those are behind? They are using intuition. They can be wrong for sure but it isn't like the models have been consistent. Sometimes you have to go with your gut and hope for the best.

I feel uneasy with just a couple inches hanging in the balance, I know it has to suck for the NC peeps staring down 0" or 12" lol... Hope it crushes you guys
No one is really looking at that scenario. The official NWS forecast is very realistic in range totals.
Out on the sounds of eastern NC is where it may be feast or famine more likely but 12 people live out there.
The 3km NAM completely skunks Moyock, so you know it can't be right based on that alone.

The expectation is early tomorrow morning, but there is a smaller chance of snow (showers) overnight. There's a potential bonus band we could get in on if things work out.

I really don't like your forecast (Cause RDU and stuff), but I respect you for taking a bold stance. If you're wrong, you'll get a lot of flack from the general public. If you're right, I hope a lot of people acknowledge it.
