RDU peeps when everyone else is saying "we're under a death band".
I won't be here. Ill log out Friday come back Tuesday

I've resolved to not stress too much about the dry slot because 1) the spots for it are gonna shift around on models up until go time, so it is wasted energy to bemoan it being around RDU on one run when it's near Wilmington or Winston the next one; and 2) the dry slots arent going to span hundreds of miles, so if I end up in one, imma get in my car Sunday and drive a little ways in whatever direction I need to in order to see good snow lol

Big frosty complaining about his totals!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He does this every storm and still ends up with double digits, every single time!! Even he was supposed to get flurries, BAM ! Next day he has 11ā€1769719590882.png

For those on fringe areas especially over in Georgia, this will be a perfect case of robbing Peter to pay Paul, and Paul is sitting on a massive stack of gold and it doesn't really need any more

No. Hope this one just goes away. Clearly this pattern sucks for NW Atlanta/GA and Alabama. We’re done being tortured.

Y’all enjoy your snow in the Carolinas this weekend.

But after that, my bitter as all hell butt is done with finding joy in others’ joy. Cranky and snowless can only be kept at bay for so long. Especially with back to back hits.

How much did you end up with Brent?

About 7-8 inches. It was a nice storm but it really didn't beat the other 2 big ones I've seen here. It pretty much snowed for 36 hours straight so yeah the floor was insane to start haha. It never got to be like really heavy or anything though like I was expecting.

The Euro and NAM both had 20 inches 2 days before. The hype was like I've never seen before

Sorry if this was posted already, but I read an article in the New Yorker yesterday about weather influencers, featuring our own @Mitch West.

For the love of God everybody please tell everybody to get the snow off the top of their cars and trucks and SUVs so I don’t experience what I just experienced in Charlotte on the interstate. Somebody still had ice on the top of their SUV It flies off going 70 miles an hour hittingI a truck luckily it didn’t bust the window shield, but come on people

Really cool map. So many different storms on there responsible for each areas last foot.

I had never seen a foot of snow until 12/9/18 storm and this map would agree with that. Not far away though- like 5-10 miles, they’re still waiting since 1969, before my time…. Incredibly hard to get a foot of snow here. So many factors that crush the chances.

The Carolina crusher gave me 7ā€. 93’ 6ā€ thundersnow outside riding a bike In almost white out conditions. Feel like in 95 or 96 had one get close, maybe like 10ā€. And then the glorious Dec 9 storm. Thank you for that one.

Anytime the chance is even on the menu, mouth starts salivating.

Almost every model shows the snow min over the extreme western upstate. I wish there was a way to fill that in and get us in on better QPF but the orientation of the winds and precipitation just aren't going to allow it. This is going to be a big deal for a lot of folks; I just hate to be in the middle of a doughnut, and I've seen this before in this area. Hard to watch sometimes.
