Enjoy and be carefultime to go for a 19 degree sleet walk to get a feel for the current conds! can't waste a rare chance like this
That’s what I’m getting here right now. Have a little more than a half inch of sleet/snow on the ground. Just feeling the tree limbs there has been very little ZR so far… don’t even know there’s a glaze unless you touch itStill getting that pixie dust/needle snow during these lulls
Yep may end up with 2” of sleet with that huge band laterThe CLT area and the NC Piedmont in general dodged a big time bullet in the coolest way possible
We still have the squall line to go, but considering there's barely even a slight glaze on the trees where I am, I'm not too worried.
We literally avoided a possible disaster.
40F on Mt Mitchell right now. Just a testament to how strong this cold nose is
In between you guys in Midland, its sleeting with the fine dust like snow. I have seen very little if any ZR yet. That’s what I’m getting here right now. Yeah upon further and closer inspection this is not sleet. It’s straight powdered ice
