Walmart in my neck of the woods. Bread aisle and milk aisle are empty!
Hope you stocked up early for those milk sammiches!
I don't understand the winter storm runs on milk. Not something that is good when the power goes out. Bread I can understand more.
Some people use it to make snow cream, but we can't use that as an excuse as this storm has practically no snow for most of us.
I love a good milk sammich
Its not that, its there is generally more front end snow that would end up being winter storm warnings vs ice storm warnings.

I'm prepared as anyone, and it's a Bad storm Regardless But I honestly think it don't verify to live up to all the hype. That's just me but I'm ready either way
When I went grocery shopping after work yesterday, the Food Lion still had some milk and bread. Bottled water wasn't on the shelves though.
I went to the back of the store and they had a pallet full of it.

I-40 goes - 4-8” SN / Sleet Up to .2” ICE
I-85 - I-40 in NC - 3-6” SN/ Sleet / up to .35” ICE
Up GSP - SW Charlotte (I-85) - 1-2” SN/ Sleet up to .45” ICE
NEGA - Up to 1” Sleet / UP To .45” ICE
ATL Metro - Mainly ICE - Up to .15” in spots

No model has freezing rain over me now. I'm in the clear! The wedge will not be able to establish cold enough, far enough west, this time. Atlanta will be spared! Also, the surface low is definitely going to cut west of the mountains. Warm air will erode the wedge quickly on Sunday. Ukie for the win!

Bad news everyone... I have covid! Seriously. Since 2022 I was covid free, but i got it again.
I miss the old warminista B Rad!! Seeing him so serious and in a panic about snow and ice, just seems silly to me after decades of showing warmest models and rain only!

That's how I felt about the GFS earlier this week showing my area getting 16" of snow this weekend that wouldn't have melted for more than two weeks.

It’s funny how this place gets quiet once it’s go time. I think most just prefer checking models vs the actual thing

It’s less interesting to analyze if I’m gonna get 23 degree freezing rain or 25 degree freezing rain.
Also qpf doesn’t matter much bc if we get more it’ll involve run off and if we get less it’ll accrete better. Just not much to consternate over.
