Misc General Banter Thread

I’m having a hard time enjoying the thought of tracking a 30 incher 200 hours away because outside my house will still look like a tundra when it happens. We won’t be able to leave our house til March
Brother you said it best, you look in worse shape than me but when Brad P sounded the horn its gotten my attention. Hoping this can trend to either more sleet or a lot drier.

I may have to move to the western Florida panhandle for snow. They just pile up the stuff down there in 2025-2026.

If you had to compare the set up for next weekend to a previous storm, what would it be? Better than 93? I wasn’t born then but my parents said it’s the most snow they’ve ever seen. Like now drifts feet high.

FINALLY!!! We can now rest in better hands. We live near the county line in Cumberland County... 😌

Welp. Tomorrow night is the last time I'll potentially enjoy power for days. I've been so anxious about this ice storm all week and the models are trending to my worst fears. It'll take a miracle now to somehow keep power on. Fortunately, I did prepare early. Unfortunately, it seems my family aren't really understanding the scope of what we are about to go through and didn't really prepare properly.

Btw, i would encourage everyone to take pictures of everything outside around your house/area before it starts because odds are it will look a lot different after this storm is over.

this is one of those situations that is so wild that you know some weird weather stuff is gonna go down early next week in the wake of this but i have no idea what
I was thinking the exact same thing! I was looking at "X" and saw posts of a Florida/SE snowstorm next week. I'm like. "I don't have the bandwidth to even fathom that right now".

If any of there are major impacts west of Atlanta, this will impact a ton of unprepared people. Just a general consensus here but the guard has been let down.

I do have a question though. There is an area that seems to be very lucky towards avoiding major weather events around the southern Polk and Haralson county areas. Locals say Mt Cheaha diverts major/severe weather away from our little area. What are your thoughts on this for those that are familiar with the area?

I just watched CJs recent video and he’s got the NAM in the background with almost no precip or looks like lol
brother CJ is trying hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel and will a dry model into existence. Nobody in South Carolina will be busier than Chris over the next 10 days

The Triangle is now under a warning! It's on ladies and gentleman. Prepare ship for ludicrous speed. Fasten all seat belts. Seal all entrances and exits. Close all shops in the mall. Cancel the three ring circus. Secure all animals in the zoo.
But not for me, at least.
