Over a week’s worth of NW model trend tendencies to endure. The model bias too cold/too far SE vs reality has just occurred with these last 2 storms and is a never ending/common occurrence as most here should know by now.

I’ll worry about details later on storm track, but the signal is strong and the pattern is there. If this storm happens, then it would start as early on Thursday just to the SW. that’s basically 6 days until start up.

If a fifth of this storm verifies, we sail into spring happy.

Yall In 1993. The Blizzard was spotted 5-6 days out. You get a wound up whopper, Its easier to catch, see for whatever reason. If the AVN or whatever they where using then can see/ honk 5 days out. Surely we can do it today
GFS and CMC basically have the exact same solution. The wave of interest emanating from the extending Pac Jet arrives in California on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the cold TPV in E Canada is moving south in response to the retrograding Greenland Block. The TPV spreads out west to east a bit across the Great Lakes and into the NE, and the western flank of the TPV phases in with the southern stream wave. Now to get every model in the world to agree on this
In all honesty, if we fail here, we fail like the Euro AI shows not NW.

has the euro hinted at this storm? It’s easy to get excited but unless the euro is hitting on it, we need to refrain before we get our feelings hurt lol

Encouraging to see the signal on the AI GFS and weather next as well.
I like that, have to think it creeps NW during the week.
Pretty good consistency, but agree, we need the Euro.

Just imagine if there is a crippling ice storm in the south, with a deep snow pack just to the north, with bitterly cold temperatures surging into the area for a week with millions without power and then a blizzard hits the following weekend. We're actually talking about this not and in the context of a movie either. Far-fetched? Probably. Possible? Absolutely.

Looks a lot like the Blizzard of 93, January edition. Who knows? The models were banging the drums for that one days ahead of time on floppy discs.

Looks like a wintry mix with 850s starting cold enough for snow but then riding to +1 to +2 (sleet?) fwiw (very little value other than entertainment and for the record) since it’s way out in fantasyland and now even further out vs other models)
yeh she is lurking... 
Euro Suite has been dropping the TPV down more full force. Better look would be for it to spread out west to east a bit and slow down instead of the hard dump to the SE
