Misc General Banter Thread

If the UK was the only model that showed a winter storm and the others never did, then I would say it’s not gonna happen. The UK wasn’t the only model showing some wintry weather, we had the gfs and Euro that showed this as well for this late weekend storm. My point is, there has to be something there for all 3 models showing this potential storm but shuffling around to much.

I just read this but posted similar thoughts in the January thread. Tons of potential to be a nice event for alot of people. Those of us that have done this for the last 20 years have seen that happen multiple times...about the same as a bullseye storm 7 days out that trends to fat nothing. It's been said many times you never wanna be in a bullseye this far out. Just want a few fantasy runs to keep the interest and potential there.

Man I worked a couple of outages in Oswego at Nine Mile. Both times were in March and it snowed 1 time...I was so disappointed. But the stories they told me were crazy They had 8ft tall markers at mailboxes and anything close to the sides of the road so the plows wouldn't take them out..pretty insane area for lake effect. Lots of good hard working folks up there(blue collar) that hate new york city folks.

Yeah, I can report even here that you could see some pockets of grass trying to green up...needless to say, with multiple hard freezes seemingly incoming soon, you can wave goodbye to that.

Here’s hoping this is the blip where we lose the weekend storm just to get it back by Wednesday.
 
Starting to feel like I’m chasing rainbows with the model runs, but maybe this is a sign of capitulation before finishing strong. Positive sign for all!
 
Add me to the “I hate everything” crowd.

But only 231 days until meteorological fall!

It’s like ground hog day. But a year.
