Yes it could be in the 70s everyday with no hope of winter weather or it could be mid July

Southern Georgia counties under a freeze warning. You had to figure spring was rapidly approaching with weeks of 60s, 70s, and even some 80s down that way.

Just over 15 inches of rain at GSP as of 8-1-1986 and a big chunk of that from 1 isolated storm that happened to hit the airport in May. Many areas only had around 10 inches of rain up to that point that year.
My grandparents had moved to NE Georgia that year, and I remember there being hardly any grass anywhere.

Charlotte Data on same date. Just over 10 inches of rain as of August 1 1986.
The winter of 85/86 had 1.4 inches of snow in February that year. I'm so desperate I'd call it a winter with that right now. I don't care if the only precip that falls the rest of the winter is the precip that gives me 1.4 inches of snow. By this spring I'll be singing a different tune I'm sure when my grass dies but right now its all about snow. Rain is evil in Jan and Feb

It's still near 70 here haha

I don't think there's ever been so many near 70s in the middle of winter here before
