Yeah it sucks to waste peak climo to yet another torch. As if we didn't have enough torchy weather last week.

Amazing. And yet somehow Nashville is running between 1-2 degrees Above Normal for the month. How do you have only 6-7 days above normal for an entire month and still finish the month Above Normal ?

Patience is strongly recommended at this time. In the meantime, I hope you and others are enjoying the cold we have right now instead of worrying so much about the future. Stop and smell the roses as they say. There are wx roses (i.e. current cold) to smell right now.

That's exactly what I'm doing. In fact, I'm headed out in a few to cut some wood for our annual New Year's Eve pool party bonfire. And no, we're not swimming :D

I'm losing confidence a little each day. Worried about a great pattern set up after the 14th and don't trust any look past 7 days.
For a few days that 6-10th timeframe looked loaded. That is pushing to the 14th and after sadly enough. Hopefully we can sneak in 1 event before the end of january.

Well if you do the math on anomalies, at least speaking on low temperatures, a lot of people are probably getting a winter storm with this look
 
What’s absolutely hilarious to me and I see it every single year ….. Right now, it’s doom and gloom. We get one model suite to go back to back on A big ass storm and pattern everyone will be back the other direction. Always only 1 model Suite away from a good or bad time in here

It’s substantially lower than it was last year at this time. I really notice it driving across bridge over on allatoona gateway.

Just moved up here (from in city of Atlanta) this past August (but house was started back around this time last year). So I can only compare view from that bridge to last year.

But parents live down the road on the lake (25 years now). I can’t recall last time it looked this low at their place. Been a long time.

Step dad was talking about it on Christmas. He said it was construction and maintenance. Don’t know where he got that info. I can’t find any official statements though. 🤷‍♂️
 
One last fire before January. Might be a little bit before I need it again. And yes I’m still watching Christmas movies.
